My name is Taylor Smith and I own a small but growing distribution company. In the last seven years our sales volume has quadrupled and properly staffing for this growth seems to be the trickiest part. I have hired many people in the past when I was working for a larger employer but we always hired as a team. Individually, as the owner and president of this 5-employee company I was doing all the hiring myself and I was missing something. My new hires were not fitting well with my organization and as a result turnover was high.
I hired Kim in attempt to find better candidates more quickly and reduce turnover. She did a great job of taking the recruiting process off my plate. She helped clean up our employee handbook, edit job descriptions, place professional ads using the right media. As a part of her fee she even paid for the ads which took another process off my plate. In the end she delivered high quality pre-qualified candidates to my office for me and my team to interview without me having to do any recruiting work. She even sat in on some of the interviews to ensure we were asking open ended questions and interviewing the candidates both correctly and professionally. I'm 100% satisfied and thrilled to have made the choice to work with Kim.

The All for One workshop was just what we were looking for. A fun and interactive training for our staff to address challenging interpersonal scenarios. I felt we all walked out of the training with turnkey practical tools and strategies to better help us deliver positive outcomes. The four step process is very easy to comprehend and put in to action. Matter of fact, one of our staff did just that one day after the training and it worked brilliantly.

We were experiencing tremendous growth quickly when we first opened our doors, and we experienced growing pains. Kim Blievernicht helped us greatly with our first employee engagement survey. She explained the different approaches needed to communicate to leadership and directly to staff, and the importance of specific actions needed to address the issues raised in the survey. We hope to work again with HR Smarts in the near future!

Kim joined the board of directors of Stevie Ray's Improv Company and immediately jumped into action. She personally took on the task of taking one of our educational/entertainment programs and bringing it to a state-wide audience. She was relentless in her support of the program; including researching sources of funding, communicating with staff, securing performance venues, and continually revising proposal in response to feedback from funders. Her hard work and persistence has allowed valuable programming from our organization to be shared with audiences throughout Minnesota.
Stevie Ray, Executive Director Stevie Ray's Improv Company
Our community nonprofit, Western Community Action Network (WeCAN), was in need of an Executive Director. Our E.D. had given a two week notice and we needed to find an interim and start the search for a fulltime E.D. I knew of Kim Blievernicht's experience and knowledge in the Human Resources field and her past work history with nonprofits.
Kim met with our Board of Directors to understand our needs, completed the position description, ran the ads in appropriate social media, interviewed the candidates who shined, trained us in what to look for and how to interview (including requiring a presentation and a biography) and finally made our offer to the candidate we wanted.
It worked. Our candidate accepted and we were grateful to have Kim on our team.

I have worked with Kim at a $2 million charitable foundation. She led a small team charged with the responsibility to develop and implement a process to award student loan repayment grants for college graduates. She did a masterful job of managing the development of the process, documenting the process and procedures, supervising and giving input to the creation of the marketing plan, evaluating applicants, preparing a presentation of recommendations to the Foundation Board and communicating the results to the applicants.
